Best Apps For Pc

                         Bluestacks

With the new hybrid convertible form factors, BlueStacks completely eliminates the need to
carry two devices. In the end, the consumer will be getting the advantages of both Android
and Windows on the same computer.

If users have ever wished they could test out Android apps before installing them on their
device or just want to use the same apps on both their Android device and their computer,
check out the free BlueStacks App Player.

This software allows computers and tablets to run Android apps. The App Player also allows
computers and tablets to install apps synced from an Android device thanks to the company's
Android-based Cloud Connect technology.
Users simply need to download and install the free App Player to the PC, and the free Cloud
Connect app to an Android device.

The apps that came pre-installed can be run full-screen or in a window. Naturally because
they're designed for a touch interface, users might want to use a touch-based all-in-one PC, a
laptop with a multi-touch pad or tablet, yet they're still functional when using the standard
mouse and keyboard.

Some of it's features are -

> Play Android apps fast and full-screen
> Push your favorite apps from your Android phone to your computer using BlueStacks Cloud
   Connect.
> Run 10 pre-loaded apps "out of the box"
> Install up to 26 more of your favorite apps
> May not work fast on older netbooks and tablets

BlueStacks App Player is a versatile program that bridges the gap between mobile and desktop
by allowing users to run their favorite Android apps on their Windows or macOS desktops.
Users can sign in with their Google account in order to access the Play store, and sync app
data where supported. First released to the public in 2011, the program has continued to grow
with the Android ecosystem, with investment partners including the likes of Intel, Samsung,
Qualcomm and AMD. BlueStacks is ad-supported, and free to download and use, with a
premium subscription that removes advertisements and priority tech support.

                        Recuva

Recuva is a supremely user-friendly file recovery tool.

Deleting files by accident is something that happens more often than users think, no matter how
computer literate they are. This is why it's always a good idea to have a tool like Recuva. With
Recuva users can restore files that have been accidentally deleted from the computer, a USB
drive, an MP3 player or even a memory card from their photo camera.

A very handy recovery wizard takes all the guesswork out of finding users files. All users have to
do is select the type of file they want to recover (photos, emails, videos, etc.) and where it's
likely to be (recycle bin, on a media card, etc.). As soon as Recuva's finished, users will see a list
with all the recoverable files, which users can sort in several ways or search with a customizable
filter tool. Then simply select the files users want to recover and they are ready to go.

Obviously Recuva is just a software tool and can't perform miracles. The sooner users use the
program after deleting files, the more chance users have of recovering them. Also, try saving
them to a different drive: it improves the success percentage.

If users have accidentally deleted some important files, don't freak out: try using Recuva and
they will probably be able to restore them!

                              IDM

All modern web browsers come with download capabilities, and while those are getting the
job done, they usually fail when it comes to management and advanced features. Download
managers like Internet Download Manager add a rich feature set to the system which not only
gives users better control over all downloads, but often also improves the speed in which files
are downloaded to their computer system.
For instance by segmenting downloads and using multiple connections to decrease the time
it takes to complete it.

The installation of Internet Download Manager is straightforward. An option to select the
browsers users want the program to integrate with would have been nice, but other than that,
there is no reason for complaints.
IDM integrates itself automatically into supported web browsers, the list includes Internet
Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera, by hijacking the browser's own download tool.
The process is fully automated and users do not have to do anything different to take
advantage of the program.

Downloads that users initiate are simply handled automatically by the download manager and
not the browser's download tool.
It displays information about the download, will group the download automatically, and lets
users add a description if they want.

Sometimes, the downloads may not get picked up correctly. When that is the cause users have
other options to still work with Internet Download Manager.
Users can right-click the download and select the download with IDM option from the context
menu, enable clipboard monitoring in the application and copy download links to the clipboard,
drag and drop download links from the browser into the program window, or paste a download
address directly into the program using the Tasks > Add new download option.

A files type determines whether it will immediately be downloaded by IDM or if downloads are
not started automatically. Users can modify white and blacklisted file types in the program
configuration. Here users also find an option to block automatic downloads from select
Internet addresses.

While users may usually want their downloads to complete as soon as possible, users
sometimes may need bandwidth for other tasks while downloading. If users are watching an
HD video for instance that is streamed to their system, they may want to limit the download
bandwidth.
IDM enables users to limit the download speed during downloads or as a general
setting in the program options.

Downloads can be added to a queue if users do not want the files to be downloaded directly.
This can be a useful way of collecting downloads to run them when the computer is idle or
when users are not sitting in front of it.
The queue can then be processed using the built-in scheduler or manually at any time.

Downloads are automatically sorted into categories like compressed, documents or programs.
Users can add, edit and remove categories which help them keep an overview over all of their
downloads. Categories, queues, and unfinished downloads are displayed on the left in the
sidebar that users can navigate to filter files here.

The configuration options let users customize the download manager further. Users can for
instance disable integration in select browsers or add other browsers, portable versions for
instance, to the list of browser's that are monitored.
There are also options to configure keyboard shortcuts to bypass or force downloading with
IDM, customize the browser context menu entries, change the default maximum number of
connections, or add site logins and proxy information if needed.

One interesting feature of IDM is that it supports multiple download queues that users can
manage individually and create schedules for.

If users need to download a lot of files from a single site, users may want to use the built-in
Grabber module which lets them do that. It supports authorization if needed and enables users
to download a lot of pictures, audio files or any other type of file from the selected address.
Users can select one of the available templates that the program ships with, or configure their
own custom template instead.
While optimized for file downloading, it can actually also be used to download a complete
website to their local system.

All downloads remain listed in the program until users decide to delete them. If users never do
that, they get a complete download history of their downloads which may be helpful if they
need to download a file again but can't remember where users downloaded it from.

Internet Download Manager supports firewalls, proxy and mirror servers, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS
protocols, redirects, cookies, download queues, directories with authorization, MP3 audio and
MPEG video content processing, and a large number of different server platforms.
IDM integrates seamlessly into all browsers automatically (IE, FireFox, Opera etc). It can be
also integrated into any other Internet applications that use FTP, or HTTP protocols.

Speed

Internet Download Manager promises faster download speeds, lets see if that is the really the
case. A test download of the latest Linux Mint version, a 960 Megabyte download, completed
in 2 minutes 44 seconds and about 3 additional seconds to combine the parts that were
downloaded. This maxed out the download bandwidth of the Internet connection. The same
download using Google Chrome's internal download manager took 3 minutes and 4 seconds
to complete.

Verdict

Internet Download Manager speeds up users downloads, if they want, and enables users to
keep taps on all downloads on the system it is running on. Integration with web browsers is
solid for the most part, Firefox Nightly users will however notice that it is not compatible with
their browser. While it is still possible to use the program, for instance by enabling clipboard
monitoring, direct support would have been nicer.

The program improves the download speed, by how much, depends on a number of factors
including the server users are downloading from and the PC's Internet connection and load.

It supports all browsers and applications.
It accelerates download speed at 5 times than usual. It has download resume capability.
